Understanding energy consumption begins with comprehensive energy auditing. PROJECT FINANCING

Energy projects are capital-intensive, but most customers have capital constraints or other financing priorities that limit their ability to fund energy saving initiatives. In such cases, OPUS energy can provide up-front financing for retrofits and upgrades, with costs being paid from verified savings achieved. We can structure a customized energy services agreement and arrange project financing.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT & VERIFICATION

Measurement and verification are an integral part of any contract that involves guaranteed or shared savings. Our approach to for cost reduction measures applies proven engineering principles coupled with equitable risk-management strategies. The M&V plans we develop are tailored to your needs and the specific project(s). Methods include:

• Calculated or “stipulated” savings, developed jointly with the customer.
• One-time, or short-term, performance measurements conducted post-installation.
• On-going post-installation measurement and monitoring.

ENERGY SAVINGS PERFORMANCE CONTRACT

Through a performance contract, you will not be charged with any costs involved in identifying, installing, operating and maintaining new or upgraded energy-efficient equipment; on the other hand, you will be using a share of the cost savings resulting from these improvements to finance your investment over a set term. At the end of the Energy Savings Performance Contract, you will own all of the improvements and receive all of the continuing savings.
